皺尉（shiwajo） ― 2021/07/31
先週、関係者に濃厚接触者になった人がいることが判明しました。
数週間前に私もその濃厚接触者に会っています。私が直接感染者に
会ってはいませんが、何か一抹の不安も拭い切れないでいます。

but I feel slightly uneasy.
これでニアミス判明は3回目です。幸いなことにワクチン一回目は
既に打ってます。朝起きて特に体に異常がないことは昔は
当たり前だったんですが、今では何となくホッとしますね。

もしかしたらこのままアルコールとは縁のない日常が続くかも。
コロナ禍なのでちょうどいいか。でも暑い日はやっぱり飲みたくなりますね。
それでは本題に入りましょう。

皺尉はその名の通り皺が多い老人の面です。皺が多くとも
アクセントと言いましょうか、仕上げの付属品と考えれば
彫りそのものには影響しません。場所によっては45度のV字
溝ではなく黄金比の溝となることもあります。
As the name suggests, Shiwajo is the mask of an old man
with many wrinkles. Even if there are many wrinkles,
if you think of it as a finishing accessory,
it does not affect the carving itself.It's not strange to say
that it's an accent. Depending on the location,
it may be a golden ratio groove instead of a 45 degree V-shaped groove.
家の玄関でやっても掃除が大変。

気分転換にこの時は阿賀野川の土手に行って作業しましたが、

目の膨らみはこのくらいになりましょうか。

逆さにして鼻の穴を彫ります。
Turning it upside down and carving nostrils.
鼻の型紙を目の方角から確認します。
鼻の頂点が合うと気持ちがいいものです。

漆塗りは穴を先に、平面は後から塗ります。
Lacquer is applied to the holes first, and flat surfaces
are applied later.
2面一緒に自家製の漆風呂に入れます。
この時は部分的に乾かなかったので
人間の風呂場行きと相成りました(笑)。
I put the two masks together in a homemade lacquer bath.
At this time, it didn't dry partially, so I had to take it
to a human bathroom (laughing).
漆塗り2回目です。
この時は上手くいって胸を撫でおろしましたよ。
次回は彩色です。
It is the second lacquering.
At this time, it went well and I breathed a sigh of relief.
