うそぶき 彩色終わりました(Usobuki coloured) ― 2021/07/17
いよいよオリパラが始まりますが、感染も拡大して来て
一体どうなるんでしょうね。私はと言うと取り立てて
行くところもないので彩色三昧の夏になりそうです。

so it's going to be a summer full of colouring.
右側のがうそぶきです。
女面のような繊細さはないので、豪快に
彩色しました（実はかなり悩みました）。
The mask on the right is Usobuki.
I put it coloured dynamically because it has no delicacy
like a feamale mask. Actually,I was really worried about that.
まずは胡粉で下地処理します。
First of all, base treatment with whitewash.
上塗りと彩色の後、慎重に毛を描きます。
筆も面も動かすので、姿勢も大事です。
トイレ・食事・その他も済ませてスタンバイです。
ビール片手に・・・という訳にはいきません(笑)。
一旦描き始めたら、1区画毎に一気に終わらせましょう。

Once you start drawing, you have to finish each section at once.
髭は馬の毛を使います。10年以上前に買った毛の束が
まだこんなに余っています。翁面2～3個作ってもまだ
余りますね。

毛の束を糸で縛ります。
何しろ毛が軽く動いて掴みづらいので落ち着いてやりましょう。

必要数を作ります。
毛作りは最初は煩わしいですが、彩色の悩みと彫りの手の疲れ
と比べると割と単純で簡単です。

Hair making is troublesome at first, but it's relatively simple and easy
compared to the trouble of colouring and the hand fatigue on carving.
爪楊枝の先端にナイフで切れ目を入れます。
Making a cut with a knife at the tip of the toothpick.
接着剤を付け髭の穴に入れ、先ほどの爪楊枝の先端で固定します。
髭の穴は裏面に貫通せず、場所によっては斜めに開けています。
You put the glue on the beard and put it in the hole.
And fix it with the tip of the toothpick.
The hole for the beard does not penetrate the back side.
It opens diagonally in some places.
ひと穴入れました。後はこれを繰り返して
髭取付完了です。
One spot is finished.
After that, repeating this to complete the beard.
うそぶき完成です。
やっぱり宴会芸のどじょう掬いを想像してしまいますね。
これだったら廊下の壁に飾っても怖くはないですね。
