般若（hannya） ― 2021/08/14
お盆はスーパーとコンビニに行く以外は自宅で龍女の彩色をしています。
それと2回目のワクチンを打ちました。翌日は37.4度の熱が出て頭が少し
痛かったかな。風の症状みたいな感じでした。
During the obon priod, I'm colouring Ryunyo at home except for going to
the supermarket and convenience store.
And I got the second vaccination.The next day I got a fever of 37.4 degrees.
And I had a slight headache.It was cold-like symptoms.
このご時世ですから何かコロナ陽性になった気分でしたが一日で
平熱になって少しホッとしています。コンビニはドアノブが多いけれど
スーパーは自動ドアが多いので少し安心します。
I felt like I was positive for corona in this day and age, but
I'm a little relieved to return to my normal temperature in a day.
Doorknobs are often seen at convenience stores.
You don't have to touch the automatic doors in the supermarket,
so I'm a little relieved.
昨年病院の売店で買ったマスクを使っていいますが、繊維が少しずつばらけて
鼻に当たりむず痒い。今の内に新しいのを箱で買って
おこうかと考えています。今回は2週続けての般若です。
I'm using a mask I bought at a hospital shop last year,but
the fibers has been fraying little by little and hits my nose
and my nose feels itchy.I'm thinking of buying a new one while I can.
This time it's Hannya for two weeks in a row.
この般若は口が裂けていて勝手に平形般若と思っていましたが、
どうも違うようです。参考となるのは正面からの写真一枚だけ。
I thought it was Hirakata-hannnya on my own because
this mask's mouth is stretches from ear to ear.
Apparently it's different.
Only one photo in front can be used as a reference.
断面の型紙は想像に想像を重ねて作ったので、2個目以降は
型紙修正のオンパレードなるでしょう。
The cross-section pattern was made by imagining and imagining,
after the second time the pattern correction will happen frequently.

材料はイチョウです。樹皮はどうせなくなるのでつけたまま
乾燥させました。
The material is ginkgo.
The bark won't be needed anyway, so I dried it with it on.
不要な部分を取り除いていきます。
Removing unnecessary parts.
完成形を想像すると何となくそれらしく見えてきますね。
If you imagine the finished product,
it's going to looks like that somehow.
そういえばこんなところで教室を開いたことも・・・。

各ラインを彫るとこんな感じとなります。
If you carve each line, it will look like this.
顔の上下から中心に向かって各ライン間を処理していきます。
You carve between each line from the top and bottom of the face
toward the centre.
目鼻口をまずエンピツで描きます。
そうするとどこをどう修正していいか分かります。
First you draw the eyes, nose and mouth with a pencil,
so you can understand where and how to modify it.
一通り彫った後はペーパーを掛けて丸みを出します。
After carving all the way, you sand it to make it round.
オデコの凹みは後から彫った方が楽です。
It is easier to carve the dent of the forehead later.
顎も一旦ラインを型どってから搾ります。
You squeeze the chin after shaping the line once.
下口ラインも口を作った後は当たる所は頂点くらいかな。
After making the lower-lip line, the place where it fits is about the top.
上口ラインも同じ。
The upper-lip line is also the same.
鼻ラインの頬は斜めに当たるので非常にデリケートな部分です。
しかし女面はそうはいきません。
The cheeks of the nose line fit diagonally,
so it is a very delicate part.
オデコの凹みは大体このくらい凹みますヨ。
The dent of forehead is like this.
さあ、ここで終わりたいくらいですが、まだ角が残ってます。
焦らず手の疲れが治る数日後から始めましょう。

材料が動くので角材などで工夫して固定します。
とにかく急がないで落ち着いて彫ります。
Since the material moves, you fix it with a square lumber etc.
Don't hurry, let's calm down and carve.
最初は四角に彫ります。
First you carve in a square.
徐々に角を落としていきます。
最後に丸くします。
Gradually you sharpen the corners.
Finally you make it round.
では面にはめて見ましょう。
角は角度が大事です。正面からは逆ハの字で、必ず
側面からも見て前かがみ気味に、それから角度を決定します。
差し込みの凸部は面の穴の厚みと同じにします。
Let's put it on the mask. Angle is important for horns.
Seeing from the front, you make it V shape.
Be sure to look from the side and you make it slightly leant forward.
Then you decide the angle. You make the convex part of the insertion
the same as the thickness of the mask.
完成ですが彩色はこれ一枚しか写真は撮っていません。
この般若は色のバランスが難しくもう一回挑戦します。
It's completed, but I've only taken one photo of this colouring.
This hannya has a difficult colour balance, so I will try it again.
