深井2、彩色 (Fukai2 colouring ) ― 2023/11/12
中年女性の顔である深井はこれで2度目ですが、
なかなかどうして納得する作りにはなりません。
目を段違いにさせたりなるべく変化を付けることにしています。
This is the second time I've made Fukai that has a middle-aged woman.
I can't seem to find a way to make it work that I'm satisfied with.
I'm trying to make as many changes as possible as if making the eyes
on a different level.
似たお面に「曲見」というものもありますが、違いを出すのが
非常に難しいです。また「曲見」を若返らせた「若曲見」に至っては
もう型紙の段階から頭を悩ませております。
There is also a similar mask called "Kurumi'',
it's a very difficult mask to differentiate.
Also with"Wakakumi'' which rejuvenated "Kyokumi'',
I'm already worried at the stage of pattern.
顔の輪郭を描いた時点で型紙の幅寸法がほぼ決まってしまけれど、
仕上がりはどれ一つ取っても同じものは出来ません。
いやいや、同じものが出来ない方が人間味があっていいのかもしれないね。
The width of the pattern is almost determined by the time I draw the outline of the face.
Even though no two products will be the same.
No, maybe it's more humane if you can't do the same thing.
近江女、彩色 (Omi-onna colouring ) ― 2023/11/26
この近江女は2018年に東京品川に居た時（ちょっとだけ）にアパートでシコシコ彫ったもので、
今になってやっと彩色の順番が廻ってきました。
This Omi-onna was carved in my apartment when I was in Shinagawa
(only for a short period of time), Tokyo in 2018.
Now it's finally my turn to colour.
品川区と言うと軽トラがやっと通れる一方通行の道が
多かったかなという思い出くらいしかありませんが、
西島三重子の歌に出て来る池上線が走っていていかにも東京って感じな所でした。
In Shinagawa Ward, there were many one-way roads that only light trucks could pass through
I only have memories like that.
The streetcar"Ikegami-sen" that appears in Mieko-Nishijima's song was running.
It was a place that really felt like Tokyo.
近江女はいかにも能面と言ったものですが、特徴があるので女面の中では
作りやすい面の部類に入るかな。タレ目にならない様に彫りましたが、
今回変化を付けるため目はあえて細目にしました。
Omi Onna is definitely a Noh mask.
I think it's one of the easiest female masks to create because of its unique characteristics.
I carved it so it wouldn't be drooping eyes, but this time,
I intentionally made the eyes narrower to add some variety.
