散歩(walking) ― 2021/05/15
先週、私が30代の頃の会社の人からメールがありました。いや、懐かしい。
懐かしい。コロナ禍ですが元気で何よりでした。今はスマートフォン全盛期
ですが私の場合、未だにガラケーで頑張っています。
Last week I got an email from co-worker when I was in my thirties.
Ah,good times. I'm glad to hear that despite corona disaster.
Now it's the heyday of smartphones, but I'm still using a flip phone.
いずれはスマホにならざるを得なくなるんでしょうが、今はパソコンもあるし。
やってみるとskypeも割と簡単に設定できました。相手の顔を見ながら喋れる
便利な世の中になったものです。とはいっても親戚と数回喋っただけですが。
Eventually you will have no choice but to use your smartphone.
I have a computer now and when I tried skype, it was relatively easy to set.
It's become a convenient world where you can talk
while looking at the other person's face.
That said, I only talked to my relatives a few times.
コロナ禍ではスマホ決済なんかも便利でいいのでしょうが、
あえて選択肢の一つとしておきたいですね。
I think a smartphone payment would be convenient in Corona,but
I want to make it one of the options.
メールのやり取り後、気になっていた工事中の新潟駅まで散歩に行ってきました。
人の多く集まる場所はやはり気になりますが、覚悟(笑)を決めて出発です。
古い駅舎は取り壊す直前といった様子でした。ガラリと変わって首都圏の
ようなハイカラな駅となるんでしょう。オープンまでコロナが終息して
いればいいんですけどね。
After emailing,I went for a walk to Niigata station
under construction that I was interested in.
I'm still curious about the place where many people gather.
I'm all set to go. The old station building looked like
it was about to be demolished. It will be a high-collar station
like the metropolitan area. I wish Corona had ended until it opened.
帰りに建設中のアパホテルを通り過ぎます。新潟駅開業に合わせて駅前は
ちょっとした建設ラッシュです。こんなにホテルだらけになって大丈夫かな
なんて思ってしまいます。
On the way back, I'm going to pass the APA Hotel under construction.
It's a little construction rush in front of the station to coincide
with the opening of Niigata Station.
I wonder if it's okay to be so full of hotels.
古町地区は緊急事態宣言もあってかゴールデンウィークにもかかわらず
平日よりも閑散としていました。この道路の下に地下街もあるんですがね。
There is also state of emergency declaration.
The Furumachi district was quieter than weekdays despite Golden Week.
There is also an underground shopping area under this road.
1時間ほど歩くと汗が噴き出て足も疲れてきました。年ですね(笑)。
先週までの寒さがウソのように暑くなりました。
またうだるような夏を思うと先週までの寒さが恋しくなります。
After I walked for about an hour, I'm sweating and my legs are getting tired.
I feel my age(laughing).
Last week was even colder than this week.
When I think of the sweltering summer, I miss the cold until last week.
さあ、帰ろう。
この通りもウン十年までは市場であり、人で賑わっていたのですが、
今は嘘のように閑散となってしまいました。
Let's go back home.
This street was also a market some decades ago and was crowded with people.
Now it's unbelievably quiet.
