だるま彩色終わりました (Daruma coloured) ― 2021/06/26
やっと達磨の彩色が終わりました。構想から1年くらいかかったでしょうか。
でもまあこんなもんでしょう。集中出来れば一番いいのでしょうが、諸事情が
許しません(笑)。
Finally the colouring of Daruma is over.
It took about a year after the conception.
I can't complain it. It would be best if I could concentrate,
but various reasons make it difficult to do so.
達磨から顔だけ抜き取って面にするのだからちょっと工夫が必要です。
幾らでも自由に作れるのですが、「やはり面らしくする」というのが
一番難しいです。彫りよりも彩色の方が悩みます。
It needs a little bit ingenuity that extracing only the face
from Daruma and making it a face. You can make as much as you want.
It's the most difficult to make it look like a Noh mask.
I'm more worried about colouring than carving.
他の面と同様に胡粉で下塗りをします。
部分的に上塗りをします。
I'm priming with whitewash like any other masks.
Partially finishing coat.
能面風に古色を付けます。達磨に古色はあったかなと思いつつも
あえて付けました。単純色の羅列では面白くありませんからね。
I'm adding an antique colour like the Noh mask style.
I dared to add it while wondering if Daruma had an antique colour.
It's not interesting with a list of simple colours.
達磨の定番の赤色を徐々に付けていきます。
本物の達磨とは違ってきたなと思いつつも完成を目指します。
Gradually I'm adding the standard red colour of Daruma.
I aiming to complete it while thinking that it is different
from the real Daruma.
髭の下書き線を描きます。
ただの円形ではなく丸みに合った形にしています。
I'm drawing a beard draft line.
It's not just a circle, it's a shape that fits the roundness.
眉の下書き線も描きます。
I'm also drawing the draft line of the eyebrows.
完成しました。
最初は顔は白を予定していたんですが、趣を変えて黄色にしたところ
何か感じがガラッと変わりましたね。歌舞伎的というか・・・・。
It's finally end.
At first I was planning to have a white face. But I changed
the taste and made it yellow, something changed drastically.
It's like Kabuki...
寿の文字も入れました。商売繁盛、合格祈願、安産祈願などの字も入れようと
しましたが場所がありません(笑)。
I also put the letters of Kotobuki.
I tried to put the letters such as Thriving business,
Ggood luck and Safe childbirth, but there was no space to draw it.
