孫次郎 彩色 (Magojiro colouring) ― 2026/07/01
孫次郎は今回で3回目ですが、別のモデルを使ったのですが似ませんでした。
名前のとおり、男の顔気味にならなくてはならないのにね。
This is the third time I've generated images of Magojiro,
but I used a different model this time and it didn't look like him.
With a name like that, he really ought to look more like a man, you know.
写真を忠実にトレースしているのに出来上がりは全然違うものになっている。
ま、これが能面作りが難しいと言われている理由でしょうか。
目鼻口を鉛筆で面に書き込む時が要注意でしょう。

the final drawing ends up looking completely different.
Well, I suppose that's why Noh mask making is said to be so difficult.
You need to be especially careful when drawing the eyes,
nose, and mouth on the mask with a pencil.
デジカメレンズが広角なのでしょうか丸い面がより丸くなってます。
両眉毛は平行としたつもりなのに「ハの字」となってます。
Because the digital camera lens is wide-angle, round surfaces look even rounder.
I tried to draw my eyebrows parallel, but they ended up looking like a V-shape.

まだ梅雨に入ったばかりですが、涼しい日が多くて助かります。
もっとも今年も酷暑は10月まで続くんでしょうね。

逆髪も埋木処理した面です。
何とか少しは似てきたなという感じですが、
どこをどう削ったらこうなったかは定かではありません(笑)。

モデルは若い少女ですが、もう少し笑顔が欲しかったのですが、
何となく目が殺気立っているような気がして・・・。

女面が続きますが、何となくいろんな意味でも苦戦が続いております(笑)。
何が難しいかって色付けですよ。ペンキ3回塗って終わり・・・

The tricky part is the colouring.
It's not as simple as just painting three coats, you know.
そもそも下地が胡粉ですから。刷毛で色をスーッと塗ると瞬時に浸み込んで
すぐ乾き、何色を塗ったかすぐには分からない・・・。
ではどうすればいい。回答の突破口の一端は女性の化粧道具に潜んでおります。

When you glide the paint on with a brush, it soaks in instantly

You can't immediately tell what colour it was painted.

最終的にはグラデーション仕上げとでも言いましょうか、
最後にシミ・ソバカス・キズをあえて施します。
人の顔って面倒ですな、ついでに性格も(笑)。回答が出ません。
